No More Fear Over Firing Yourself, Ever
Keeping yourself under-control is a highly valuable skill. In fact, it’s a must-have ability because it takes into account other successes in other areas (like your professional, business, or work aspect) and not just your personal life.
Here’s how to manage yourself:
- Be self-aware: Know how you respond regularly to certain stimuli in your environment, and see what you can get all the important needs met (like meditation, prayer, eating, etc.), first.
- Talk to people in your office (work), or in your house, etc., about not disturbing you during your no-one hour. If you don’t know what this is, it’s the time you want to have to relax and draw energy from the inside.
- Hire people when you’ve outrun your own skills or abilities: Things like accounting, graphic design, etc., need someone acquainted in these areas to do them for you for a small fee -or a larger fee if that’s what you need.
- Hire a coach: Start to know what’s wrong with you (in terms of self-management and execution). This will increase your performance, refine your decision-making, and triple your productivity to a huge extent. Be careful. Not all coaches are created equally.
- Let people hold you accountable: These people can be ones you work with, or others you’ve appointed to do this task. Ask them to observe what you do each day -or whenever possible. Make sure they do the work of assessing you, and if they can give you details (blindspots, flaws in thinking or behaving, etc.) it’s a bonus, thus, more success.
- Have time for yourself: Make room for your creative outbursts to show up. This can improve the way you do business and improve how you live life over-all. Examples like hobbies, traveling, and prayer, etc. All of this increases your performance, making you the best of who you can be.
I hope you found what you came here for. Would love you to leave your own thoughts (how you manage yourself) so you can add more to this article. This can help more people get better at self-management.
